I'm from Lowell MI, and I've been programming for about 7 years now. I started with HTML after I got to help my mom review a product for a Homeschool magazine (drawing a blank right now, will update as soon as I remember). I soon progressed on to XHTML and CSS, though never really got into JavaScript (probably should've.)
Then I wanted to try out application programming, so my dad got me a book on the Just Basic language, a spinoff on the LibertyBASIC language, which in turn is based on the old Beginners All Purpose Instruction Code (BASIC). I played with that for about two years, then moved on to Python, and that's where I am now.
I'm the co-author on the Excellince in Writing Rockets, Radar, and Robotics book, a writing book for Upper Elementary/Middle School age boys.
